All around awesome movie. The cookie cutter plot was weak but the movie knew that and it embraced it
Holy Christ this movie was hilarious. Must see for anyone that likes to laugh at "smart humor
Awesome one liners. I was laughing throughout most of this movie. Yeah, the plot was stupid but you don't go to a movie with these four guys expecting a plot.
What the 2nd movie should have been. The blend of seriousness, epicness, and humor was MUCH better this time. I saw 4 annoying plot issues that I hope are resolved in an extended cut. The 2nd half of the movie felt like Battle LA, which was sort of cool. While this movie was awesome, I can't bring myself to give it the same score as the original.
Not as terrible I remembered, but still pretty bad. Amazing effects, explosions, etc, but god awful dialog and story. This movie would had 2 more stars if it weren't for the following ridiculous story points: the goofy parents, retarded twin autobots, Megan Fox's gangsta robot pal, the hot girl decepticon, and the old man robot. It would have had 3 more stars if they actually spent some time developing the story
One of my top 5 favorite movies
An epic of epic proportions. The best movie of the series. My own problem, why didn't the eagles just fly Frodo and Sam out there in the first place.
I missed the first 30 minutes so maybe that has something to do with me just not getting what this movie was really about. I mean, yeah I know, the mob and vegas. I get that. But I just couldn't really get invested in any of the characters, I just really didn't care
While this was not "hangover with girls", I do feel that it was targeted at girls and I am sure a lot of it was lost to me. However, there were plenty of jokes that I did catch on to. If you are being dragged to a chic flick, try to get dragged to this one
Epic.
I never read the comic or knew any of the mythology. But for a comic to movie adaptation, I thought this movie was very well done. My biggest concern was how easy the bad guy escaped his prison in the beginning. The story moved along quick enough, the humor wasn't to heavy, and the effects were amazing
Strange movie ... nice little twist (that I called pretty early on, of course). Old school style, probably no CGI. I expected a little more action
If E.T. and The Goonies had a love child, it would be this movie. My only problem with this movie is that it felt like it took a little too long to get to the meat and potatoes. The new (young) actors were amazing, the writing was amazing, the direction was awesome. Stay through the credits to watch the kid's movie.
Non stop slow-mo action scenes with little story and almost laughable dialog. Good eye candy
Lots of scene transitions in first 45 min to set up the characters that was kind of annoying. Lacking Xavier/Magneto dynamic, mutant stars could have been better. Other than that, pretty entertaining.
Pretty much exactly the same as the first one but with some different jokes and some intentional references to jokes in the first one. I got bored about three quarters into the movie, but it was mostly entertaining. Oh, also, there are penises.
Picked right up after fast four. For the 5th movie in a franchise, it was pretty awesome. Sure, lots of it wasn't believable, but who ges to movies to see shit that can happen IRL? All in all, Very entreating. Also, stay through the credits for a peak at fast 6
Good fun
Somewhat entertaining, a decent amount of boobies, and some pretty good action scenes. As long as you are not expecting any deep story lines, good dialog, and good acting, but like to see shit blow up, this is a good movie for you to check out on a rainy day
Pretty decent! I guess it was as good as it could be for a comic book movie about a norse god! As long as you just want to see a good comic book movie and aren't expecting amazing dialog and story lines, I highly recommend this movie in (standard format)
Ugh. I really wanted this to be at least a solid 3 but it just wasn't good ... There was almost no back story, the plot itself was weak, the transitions between scenes was often too abrupt and the dialog was mostly awful. Which sucks because I liked all the actors in the movie and was hoping for something better
Not an Oscar winner but great acting, directing, and real action
The acting was bad. The characters were trying too hard to be funny. The story could have been ok but the editing was terrible. I felt like I was in a Lucas directed Star Wars movie with all of the scene changes. I wanted to like this movie but I also wanted to shut it off after the first 20 min. It did get a little better but, I recommend you skip this 2 out of 5 movie, even if you did pick up the blu-ray for $5
Overall pretty good. The jokes were mostly good and the sic-fi homages were awesome. If you liked Shaun of the dead and hot fuzz, and know enough about sci-fi to pick up on the jokes, you will be entertained by this one. PS, Seth Rogen was better in the role of Paul than almost all of his previous roles
This movie was actually pretty solid. The name was weak and the marketing was terrible. Say what you will about Tom Cruise, but he was just awesome in this movie. The story was your typical "some awesome technology was stolen" but there was a perfect blend of comedy, action and stuff blowing up. I am sad that this movie got almost no attention.
Since this is coming out on DVD tomorrow - The alien invasion premise was as original as it could be and the CGI was good. However, the movie got boring pretty fast and you didn't care who lived or died. The last minute of the movie was the best. Battle LA was much better. Overall, this movie was below average but I am a sucker for alien invasion movies
Like Timeline and Deja Vu in the way that the Sci-Fi aspect of the movie was in the background. The movie had nothing to do with "source code". Excellent directing, acting, and effects. The technology was iffy but didn't ruin the film at all. Also, going back to the same 8 minutes DID NOT get repetitive. If you liked Timeline and Deja Vu, you will like this action movie with a dash of sci-fi as well
Awesome alien invasion action movie. Like independence day but more from the perspective of the ground forces and sans Bill Pullman speech. Plenty of room for a prequel or a sequel, which I would gladly see. As you would expect, there wasn't much story, but it wasn't needed. It didnt matter why this was happening, just that action needed to be taken.
Not much "adult" humor in this one, it seemed like it was definitely for children but also enjoyable for the parents. If you have kids and want to take them to the movies, or you are going on a date, go to this movie. Otherwise, you should probably wait to rent this one. The animation was good as was the voice acting.
Great "high school" action flick from the same guy that brought us Disturbia and Eagle Eye but with a Sci-Fi premise, kind of like The Faculty but better. Pretty much all newbies except for Timothy Olyphant but the story, action, and effects were all grade A. This movie seemed to be an origin story and they left it open for sequels, which I hope they make
This amazing movie was filmed like an old 80's B movie and thus had an iffy plot and awful dialog but none of that mattered because I was thoroughly entertained throughout the entire movie. If you like Tarantino and Rodriguez movies you will love this one. If you don't know who those guys are, stay away.
Typical Jason Statham action movie... which means ... IT WAS AMAZING! Although, I can't remember once scene in which his shirt was off. Unfortunately, since all Jason Statham action movies are pretty much the same, I can't give this one more than a 3/5. Rental must see, theater must see if you are a fan!
A-team is a solid 4.5. Great actors, acting, action, and true enough to the series. The weakest link was rampage, but even he wasnt terrible. Thanks Joe Carnahan for making the first great summer movie of the year.
Ugh. People liked this movie but I hated it. I loved Nicolas Cage and his daughter but the title character was a whiney bitch and every scene with him annoyed me.
Nice graphics but thats about it. No story, no character development. In the end I didn't care what happened to anyone. I just wanted it to be over.
Typical SNL skit made into movie. Several funny parts but mostly awkward or outright stupid parts.
Not sure why so many people disliked this movie. I hope its not because of the partical collider he made in his basement, because clearly its not possible, its a comic book movie people! It was a great sequel and a great comic book movie!
